Do you offer same day or next-day laundry pickup and delivery?
Yes! Same-day service is available when you schedule your pickup before 2 PM. For all other orders, next-day delivery is guaranteed. The option that works best for you can be chosen.
What areas does Drop & Dash service?
Drop & Dash provides laundry pickup and delivery across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. How do I schedule a pickup?
Getting started with Drop & Dash is easy.
1. Schedule: Use our website or app to pick your preferred pickup time, available between 5 AM and 10 PM.
2. Customize: Add any special laundry instructions, such as detergent type, water temperature, or hang-dry requests.
3. Confirm: A driver will arrive during your scheduled window to collect your laundry.
4. Relax: We’ll clean your laundry at our professional Chicago facilities, washing, drying, and folding everything with care.
5. Receive: We’ll deliver your fresh, clean clothes back to your door.What are pickup and delivery timeframes?
Pickup and delivery times are flexible. You can choose a window between 5 AM and 10 PM, 7 days a week that fits your schedule.
How to prepare laundry for pickup?
Simply place your clothes in a bag.
• You can use a disposable bag or a reusable bag; we promise to return reusable bags!
• A 13-gallon garbage bag holds about 15 pounds of laundry, while a 30-gallon bag holds around 25 pounds.
• Once everything is packed, leave it in your designated pickup spot, and the driver will take it from there.
How do I know how much my laundry weighs?
Most customers find that a 13-gallon bag holds about 15 pounds of laundry, while a 30-gallon bag holds around 25 pounds. Don’t worry about weighing it yourself, your order is weighed at our facility, and you’re only charged for the exact amount. You’ll see the final weight and cost on your receipt.
Can I include special instructions for my laundry?
Yes. You can add special instructions during checkout, including requests for detergents, water temperature, drying preferences, and stain treatment. Our team follows these notes carefully so your laundry is handled exactly the way you want.
Do I need to be home for pickup or delivery?
No, you don’t need to be home. Just make sure your laundry is easy to access at the scheduled time. When placing your order, you can let us know if you’d like to leave your items in a secure location such as a front porch, lobby, or with a building concierge.
How do I track my order?
Track your order using our app. Updates are sent at each stage of the process, including a photo confirmation of your delivery.
Can I cancel or change my order after it’s placed?
Yes. You can cancel or update your order through the app or website up until the driver is on the way for pickup. If you need to make a last-minute change, contact our customer service team at (773) 436-1994 and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
What happens if I miss a scheduled pickup?

PRICING, PAYMENT & PROMOTIONS
How much does laundry service cost?
Laundry service with Drop & Dash is priced at $1.95 per pound with a $39 minimum order. There is a $4.96 delivery fee. First-time customers can also use code 20OFF to save $20 on their first order.
Is a subscription required?
No. Drop & Dash is an on-demand serivce, and no subscription is required. You get our best price every time, whether you need service once a week or just once in a while.
When is payment due and what methods are accepted?
Payment is processed after your laundry is cleaned, so you only pay for the exact amount. Drop & Dash accepts all major credit and debit cards, which you can securely save in your account for easy checkout. Everything is handled online or in the app, including any tip for the driver. No cash is needed at pickup or delivery.
Do you offer discounts for first-time customers?
Yes. Use promo code 20OFF to save $20 on your first order.
Are there any hidden fees or surcharges?
No. Drop & Dash uses transparent pricing with all costs shown upfront. Your final price is calculated after we weigh your laundry at our facility, so you only pay for the exact amount. The only additional charges apply to optional services, such as hang dry requests, unscented detergent, or oversized items like comforters and blankets.
Are tips included or optional?
Tips are optional and never required. If you’d like to leave one, you can add it during checkout in the app or website. 100% of tips go directly to your driver.
Do you offer gift cards or prepaid credits?
No, Drop & Dash does not currently offer gift cards or prepaid credits. All orders are pay-as-you-go so you only pay when you need service.
LAUNDRY CARE AND SPECIAL REQUESTS
Are my clothes washed with other people's laundry?
No. Every order is processed separately to ensure hygiene and quality.
Can I request hypoallergenic detergent or send my own?
Yes. You can select hypoallergenic detergent when placing your order. You can also send your own detergent, softener, or dryer sheets Our team will use your preferred products and return any unused portion when we deliver your clean laundry.
How are stains handled?
Stains are pretreated before washing to give your clothes the best chance of coming out clean. For special attention on an item, make a note in your order instructions or send your preferred stain remover along.
Can you handle large items like comforters, blankets, and pillows?
Yes. Special pricing is available for these items:
• King or Queen comforters: $29.95 each
• Twin or Full comforters: $24.95 each
• Pillows: $12.95 each
• Other bulky items are charged at the standard per-pound rate.
All bulky items are processed with special care at our Chicago facilities.Can you hang dry my clothes or air dry delicate items?
Yes! Yes. Hang-drying can be requested during checkout for an additional $0.39 per pound. You can request hang drying for your entire order or just specific items. If you have delicates or fabrics that require air drying, you can note those preferences when placing your order.
What if my laundry is mixed (lights, darks, delicates)?
Our team sorts your laundry before washing, so lights, darks, and delicates are cleaned separately. If you have special instructions, such as items that need extra care or should be air dried, you can note that when placing your order. This ensures every item is washed the right way.
How long does it take to get my clothes back?
You can set a return time that best fits your schedule. Same day service is available if you schedule your pickup before 2 PM. Whether you choose next day, same day, or some time later in the week, your laundry is washed, dried, and folded at our professional facilities and delivered back to your door on time.
Who does my laundry?
Your laundry is handled by trained professionals at our Chicago-area Wash Smart facilities. We use commercial-grade washers and dryers along with professional cleaning products to ensure every load is washed, dried, and folded with care before being delivered back to you.
What is the policy for damaged or lost items?

While every order is handled with care, in the rare event something is lost or damaged, Drop & Dash will work with you to resolve the issue promptly. Drop & Dash focuses on professional wash and fold laundry service and does not currently provide dry cleaning. Most everyday clothing, linens, and household items can be cleaned through our service.
Do you clean specialty items like rugs, uniforms, or linens?
Drop & Dash focuses on wash and fold laundry and oversized household items like comforters, blankets, and pillows. DELIVERY & SERVICE POLICIES
What neighborhoods and suburbs do you serve?
Drop & Dash’s laundry pickup and delivery area goes throughout Chicago and most surrounding suburbs. Within the city, we serve areas like Wicker Park, West Loop, Bronzeville, Ravenswood, and South Shore. In the suburbs, we cover communities such as Wilmette, Glenview, Oak Brook, Downers Grove, and Des Plaines.
What do you do if it’s raining or snowing on delivery day?
We take steps to protect your laundry from the elements. If you aren’t home for delivery, we’ll leave your order in the secure spot you designated when placing your order. To avoid weather-related issues, we recommend choosing a covered or indoor location such as a lobby, garage, or porch. Please note that once laundry is delivered to your chosen spot, Drop & Dash is not responsible for weather-related exposure or damage.
What happens if I’m not available for delivery?
If you can’t be home, we’ll leave your laundry in the secure spot you designated when placing your order, such as a porch, lobby, or with a building concierge. This way you don’t have to be present to receive your delivery. If no safe location is available, you can contact our support team at (773) 436-1994 to arrange a new delivery time.
Can I leave special instructions for the driver?
Yes. If there’s anything your driver should know, such as gate codes, apartment entry details, or a preferred drop-off location, you can include those notes in your delivery instructions when placing your order. This helps ensure smooth pickup and delivery every time.
Can I schedule recurring pickups?
We don’t require or lock you into recurring pickups. Instead, Drop & Dash is designed to be fully on-demand, so you can schedule laundry service only when you need it. Many customers prefer this flexibility because it means no commitments, no surprise charges, and the freedom to book a pickup around your own schedule.
What if I live in a building without a doorman or secure drop-off spot?
That’s no problem. If you won’t be home, you can leave your laundry in a bag outside your unit or describe the pickup location in the special notes when placing your order. Our delivery hours run from 5 AM to 10 PM, so you can usually schedule the return for a time when you’ll be home. You can also leave instructions for the driver regarding your return order, and if needed, provide entry details in your notes so the pickup or drop-off can be completed safely.
What if my delivery is delayed?
We work hard to return every order on time, but in the rare case of a delay you’ll be notified right away through the app, by text, or by email. Most delays are resolved quickly, and you can always reach our customer service team at (773) 436-1994 for updates. Our goal is to keep you informed and make sure your laundry is delivered as soon as possible.
What if I need to change my delivery address?
